| Three of seven modernist one of a kind sculptures by James Kuo(1920-1995). James Kuo was a Chinese American abstract painter who came to the US in 1947 and settled in Buffalo, NY. He had many solo and group exhibitions at many galleries and universities and is in the permanent collections of corporations, galleries and museums. All the pieces are unsigned and are constructions on wood plaques from the 1950's. #1-TWO FIGURES design of applied silver on textured nickel on wood(mahogany or walnut)plaque. Of good size, it measures 4 3/4" by 4 3/8" by 1/4" thick and in excellent condition. $350($11 for insured USA shipping). #2- BIRD IN FLIGHT of copper and silver on walnut measures 2 5/8" by 2" by 1/2" thick. There is some solder from the silver to the copper and the wood has a bit of wear on the edges which can be smoothed down. There are no cracks or dents or repairs - all is original. $150($9 for insured USA shipping). #3- HEART of silver bordered walnut with cutout measuring 3" by 2 1/4" by 9/16" thick.
