Wonderfully designed hand made necklace by MAYA, Mexico, c.1950's after a Hubert Harmon design. Maya frequently copied Harmon designs. Looks just like silver with a great patina, but probably made of silver plate because there are no Mexican silver marks. The locking mechanism is separated from the main part by black velvet ribbon. Wonderful 14k gold ring constructed around a 19th century shell cameo by ED WIENER, NYC, c.1960. Made of very heavy gauge gold(weighs 10dwt=1/2 troy oz.), it is size 7. Ed Wiener would take a special cameo, stone, enamel piece, etc and build a ring or brooch around it. The beautiful textured gold work sets off the inset cameo.
