Large handmade modernist sterling and rose quartz pin by Sam Kramer, the famous NYC silversmith, c.1948. As usual, one can turn the pin in several directions trying to find the "correct" position - is it a fish wriggling through the water, or a profile with a pony tail, or should we not ask these questions? Modernist enamel boat by Madeline Turner, c.1940's, who studied enameling with Karl Drerup and designed jewelry for Tiffany and Georg Jensen, USA. Of good size, this gorgeous modernist domed enamel measures 2 1/8" high by 1 13/16" wide. The enamel colors are various shades of blue, yellow, green, red, tan, and white. Excellent condition. Modernist enamel fish by Madeline Turner, c.1940's, who studied enameling with Karl Drerup. She also designed for Tiffany and Georg Jensen,USA. This great domed sail fish measures 3 1/16" by 1 1/8" and is in perfect condition. The rich colors are various shades of blue, yellow, green and white. Unsigned, this was purchased from a close family friend. Ms. Turner never mounted these pieces, but can easily be put into a metal frame and worn as a pin. Modernist domed enamel bird by Madeline Turner, c.1940's, who studied the enamel process with Karl Drerup. This hand made piece is one of a series by Madeline Turner and can be made into a pin by adding a metal frame. The enamel colors are white, turquoise, dark blue, and green. Of good size, it measures 2 1/8" wide by 1 3/8" high. Unsigned and purchased from a close family friend. Condition is perfect. Turner also designed for Tiffany and Georg Jensen, USA.
