Beautiful red wood jacket with richly appliqued figures, Mexico, c.1940's. There are large man and woman figures on back and donkey, cactus, guitar, ceramics, etc on front and sleeves. There are two front pockets and the edges have sewn wool stitching all around. Interesting collar design(see photo). Small size - approx. size 4. Beautiful repousee sterling necklace(matching bracelet is also being offered), by Los Castillo, Mexico, c.1947. Made of very heavy gauge silver, it weighs 3 1/2 troy oz(105 gms). Made of 20 links, each measuring 1" long by 3/4" wide, the total length is 15". There is an overlapping of links. Sterling repousee bracelet by Los Castillo, Mexico, c.1947. This is part of a two piece necklace/bracelet set, each offered separately. Hand made of very heavy gauge silver(50 gms), each of the curved 5-links measures 3/4" wide by 1 1/2". The entire bracelet is approx. 7 3/4" long and has a safety chain. Silver dragon head pin copying that of William Spratling by Serafin Moctezuma, Mexico, c.1950's. Much to the annoyance of Spratling, Moctezuma copied his designs, including the mark "SM", which when turned upside down, looks like a stylized WS, similar to that of Spratling. This great little Mayan dragon head, stands on its own and is quite charming. The pin measures 1 3/8" long by 1" wide. It is signed "980 SM TAXCO" and is in excellent condition.
