Dramatic large hand made sterling Mayan face/headdress pin by LOS CASTILLO, Mexico, 1942. Measures 3 1/4" by 2 1/4" and signed "LOS CASTILLO TAXCO STERLING MADE IN MEXICO 530". This pin has a barette-type of closure. However, the points are very sharp so is not a barette but rather an alternate type of pin closure. This can be easily changed to a more typical kind of closure. Pin is in excellent condition and wonderful........$15 for insured US shipping.

Pair of sterling bracelets with great patinas by William Spratling, Mexico, c.1940's. One is signed(with appropriate period marks) and one is not and they are identically matched. The signed bracelet measures 8" closed and has 8 links. The unsigned bracelet is 7 1/2" closed and has 7 links. They both measure 7/8" wide and have identical safety chains. Torque necklace of sterling and onyx by Sigi Pineda, Mexico, c.1955. Marked "SIGI TASCO HECHO EN MEXICO STERLING (eagle mark) 36 (number is hard to see as it's deeply imbedded, so possibly) 310". Of good size it measures 16" around closed and the silver-backed onyx opens with a peg hinge. Elegant design in excellent condition.....$15 for insured shipping.

Large mixed metal fish pin by Rafael Dominguez, Mexico, 1943. Primarily made of 960 silver, there are copper and brass inset accents "marrying" the metals. Wonderful pin measures 3 3/8" long by 2 1/8" wide and is signed "RD 960". Early LOS CASTILLO("#1" design) modernist mixed metal and obsidian bracelet, Mexico, c.1940. Beautifully constructed, there are two curved brass arms that connect to a circular piece of obsidian that turns freely. The brass arms are attached to the sterling locking ends. Wonderfully designed hand made necklace by MAYA, Mexico, c.1950's after a Hubert Harmon design. Maya frequently copied Harmon designs. Looks just like silver with a great patina, but probably made of silver plate because there are no Mexican silver marks. The locking mechanism is separated from the main part by black velvet ribbon. Of large scale, the largest irregular square measures 2" wide by 1 3/4" high and the necklace measures 15 1/2" around. The silver connecting rings ...click for details
