Sterling modernist ring by silversmith Bill Tendler(1924-1981), NYC, c.1955. Bold architectural design using shiny silver columns set out from an oxydized background. The ring face measures 3/4" wide by 3/8" high and is size 4 3/4. The band has an interesting shape and is an integral part of the design. Sterling bangle by California silversmith, Allan Adler, c.1960's. Handmade and of heavy gauge silver, it measures 2 3/8" diameter and is 3/4" wide. This very substantial piece has a decorative braiding on each side of the sheet silver. It is signed "ALLAN ADLER STERLING" and is in excellent condition. Large handmade mixed metals(gold and silver) modernist pin with blue oval chalcedony(1 1/4" by 7/8"), c.1960's. The stone is bezel set off center. The design consists of positive and negative space, as shown with applied dimensional gold and silver geometric pieces versus handcut holes. Architectural modernist sterling horse head earrings by Paul Lobel(1899-1983), c.1950's. These earrings show a stylized horse head with applied silver wire forming a dimensional profile. The silver is cut unevenly to show the mouth and each measures 1" wide by 3/4" long. In excellent condition, each are signed "LOBEL STERLING". One of the best figural modernist designs ever executed. Rare art deco 935 silver bracelet with coral and marcasites, by the German silversmith, Theodor Fahrner, c.1927. The art deco design alternates domed silver and marcasite circles with three rectangular coral pieces. The circles measure almost 3/4" in diameter and the rectangular groups measure 5/8" by 1/2". Extremely rare and large sterling figural pin by Abraham Paz, Mexico c.1930. He designed for Fred Davis, so it is clear that this famous design was created by Paz. Here, we see a variation on a theme, with a man wearing a serape and holding a rope. The signature is RARE showing the Paz mark, which this antique dealer has never seen before.
